Hey hi hello–!!
I’m so happy to be able to participate in the cover reveal for The Talent Throne, the newest book from Nadine Brandes (one of my favorite authors)!! It releases in May of 2027, and it’s the sequel to Wishtress. But new readers–never fear!! It can be read as a continuation of Wishtress, but it can stand perfectly well on its own. It’s a no-spice Young Adult fantasy where a prince has to choose a bride…but the girl he chooses is tasked to assassinate him to stop a war. It’s available to preorder on Kickstarter only.
Intrigued?? Let’s continue 😏

❄️ Seven years ago, time stopped. Cairden “Runt” Vorst has been trapped in the Stillness ever since. ❄️
When he finally unlocks the Talent to get time moving again, the crown of Winterune is within his reach. But Winterune law says that before he can become king…Cairden must marry. In ten days.
Lieve deWindt has no intention of becoming a bride. In fact, she has quite a different goal: putting an arrow in Cairden Vorst’s heart. Unfortunately, sneaking into the schloss to end his life lands her among the twelve women competing to become his queen.
War is coming to their shores in ten days’ time. Lieve is the only one who knows, and she’s determined to deliver a murdered prince as a peace offering. But it turns out assassination is not as simple as it sounds, especially when her Talent bonds with Cairden’s.
Together, they may be the only way to save the kingdom…if they can manage not to kill each other first.
Isn’t it gorgeous?!? Isn’t it fantastic?!? I love it so much and I think I’m going to buy it, regardless of my depleted funds as a full-time college student. Because there are also delightful goodies that come along when you preorder!! And I’ve been waiting for a sequel to this book for approximately four years now (anyone else remember the infuriating ending to Wishtress?)
The link to the Kickstarter is HERE, and I hope to see you there!!
Always,
Ava ⚔️

POSITIVELY GORGEOUS AHHH!!!! 🤩 It looks so glorious. . . I want one. . . Except I am still waiting on the other Kickstarter I backed. Sigh. Too many pretty books, Ava! I want them all!!!
I LOVE IT SO MUCHHH!!! The way it’s reminiscent of Wishtress but stands on its own two feet, the colors…it’s glorious. What other kickstarter did you back, hmm?? We all need more book funds 🥀
Yessss I adore matching covers but it also holds its own which is splendid but also THEY LOOK SO GOOD TOGETHER. Twas The Book of Remembrance. It’s about the battles in the world of Eragon and other subsequent books. (Also I get to be a dead soldier so that’s pretty cool). I shall hopefully get it soon. We do indeed. Tis a constant sorrow. 🥲
